The mission of Rebuild Livingston is to provide recovery services to individuals and families affected by the devastating flood of August 2016. The focus of our recovery mission is not only to restore the property of residents, but also to offer help to restore their physical and spiritual well-being. Assistance will be provided to individuals regardless of race, gender, disability or religious preference. Our goal is to see our community rebuilt and restored stronger than ever before.
The dilemma of a flood occurrence is that long after the flood waters recede and the piles are removed from outside the home, there is an appearance of normalcy. The devastation that exists inside the home and within the family however is long lived.
The assistance of federal, state and local government agencies and the payout of insurance settlements help but long after these resources are exhausted, there is a lot of work left to be done. That is the focus of the Rebuild Livingston.
Rebuild Livingston is a partnership between the church community, business community, civic organizations and public sector and operates the Rebuild Livingston Fund donations to which are tax deductible as a Louisiana licensed 501(c)3 organization.
